Sponsorship of Rotary

District 7230 and the Rotary Club of Larchmont

At the 2010-11 scholarship seminar with Past District Governor, George Camp, Assistant District Governor and sponsor counselor, Marilyn Masiero, and District Foundation Committee Chair, Robert Cucinell

Representing District 7230 in the 2011-2012 year, I am serving as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, the largest privately-funded international scholarship program, since its inception in 1947.

District 7230 is home to 49 Rotary clubs throughout Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester County and Bermuda. Sponsoring me is the Rotary Club of Larchmont, nestled in my own hometown of Larchmont, NY.

Why might districts choose to sponsor a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar?

Scholars ambitions reflect Rotary’s visions and goals, which they carry through not just during their scholarship, but throughout their lifetime. These scholars move the Rotary’s mission forward through a constantly changing world, and provide an avenue for goodwill and exchange between districts. It’s the way that Rotary continues to invest in its future.
